Here is Anna Sanderson handing over cash donation of £125 to Anne Fisher from the Longridge Foodbank. Anna and her mother, Steph Willan, ran a school uniform sale in Grimsargh, and they kindly donated money, food and cleaning materials to the Foodbank. A big thank you to Anna, Steph and everyone who helped to raise the money!
We have lots of people to thank, as many of our local community have been so kind and generous in thinking about Foodbank clients in these difficult times. People have gone out of their way to donate food to us, and many people have donated money in lieu of the food which they would normally have bought for us. We have had several anonymous donations, and three local companies – Olympia Window Cleaning, Atlas Environmental Services, and Barber Bros – clubbed together to donate £350. Our friends at Booths have given us bread and carrier bags in which we can pack food parcels, Kushboo have given us a whole box of their wonderful hand-made soaps to distribute, and Dugdale Nutrition have given us lots of dog food so that pets don’t have to go hungry either.
