Volunteer
Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping the Trussell food bank network get emergency food to people in crisis. If you have a few hours a week available to volunteer as part of our amazing team and are aged 18 or over, we’d love to hear from you.
There are two friendly teams of volunteers at Ribble Valley Foodbank.
Food bank centre helpers
Meet clients and give out food parcels. Have an informal chat with clients over a cup of tea, to discuss their situation and signpost to further support.
Warehouse volunteers
We need help to weigh, sort and store donated food before it’s made into parcels for clients to collect. Drivers help with delivering to the foodbank centre to ensure we have the right food available at all times.

All volunteer positions are subject to two personal references and a trial period.
