Give Help

Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.

Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. If you have a few hours a week available to volunteer as part of our amazing team and are aged 18 or over, we’d love to hear from you.

There are two friendly teams of volunteers.

Warehouse volunteer

We need help to weigh, sort and store donated food before it’s made into parcels for clients to collect. Drivers help with delivering to the foodbank centre to ensure we have the right food available at all times.

Helping at a foodbank centre

Meet clients and give out food parcels. Have an informal chat with clients over a cup of tea, to discuss their situation and signpost to further support.

If you are interested in volunteering please get in touch, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. All volunteer positions are subject to two personal references and a trial period. If our teams are full, there may sometimes be a wait before we can process applications – if this is the case, we’ll keep you in the loop.

Thank you so much and we look forward to hearing from you!
